Adoption Process & Pricing
How to Reserve a Boston Terrier Puppy From Us
Choosing the right breeder (and the right puppy) is a big decision. My goal is to make the process clear, transparent, and stress-free from the moment you inquire all the way through pickup day. Below is our complete Boston Terrier puppy adoption process, including pricing, reservation steps, and what you can expect when working with an ethical, home-based breeder.
1. Join the Waiting List
Because I keep a very small, intentionally limited breeding program, most litters are reserved in advance. The first step is joining the official waitlist.
To join the list, I require:
- Your name & contact information as well as a completed adoption application
- A brief description of your home/family
- What you’re looking for (sex, color, personality type, etc.)
2. Reservation Fee (Deposit)
When puppies are born and I begin contacting my waitlist, you will be offered a spot to reserve a puppy from that litter.
A non-refundable reservation fee ($500) is required to hold your spot.
This amount goes toward your final purchase price.
Deposits ensure that:
- You are serious about adopting
- I can plan my home-raising schedule around committed families
- Puppies are not held without intention
3. Weekly Updates on Your Puppy
Once your reservation is placed, you will receive:
- Weekly photos or videos
- Updates on growth, personality, and milestones
- Information on feeding, socialization, and training foundations
- A timeline of what to expect as your puppy grows
4. Health, Veterinary Care & Screening
All puppies are raised indoors and receive proper early care, including:
- Age-appropriate vaccinations
- Deworming schedule
- Veterinary wellness exam
- Health clearance stating they are fit for adoption
- Exposure to household environments, sounds, and early enrichment
- Parental DNA screening (JHC, HUU, DM, CMR1, etc.)
5. Selection Process
Puppy picks typically begin around 6–7 weeks, once temperaments start showing clearly. I match families based on:
- Personality fit
- Activity level
- Your lifestyle
- Your preferences (when possible)
6. Final Payment & Going-Home Day
Puppies typically go home at 8 weeks old, depending on individual development and veterinary clearance.
On pickup day, you will receive:
- AKC registration application
- Health records
- Sales terms & health warranty
- Feeding instructions
- A small transition pack to help your puppy adjust
- Lifetime support from me
7. Lifetime Breeder Support & Return Policy
I stand behind every Boston Terrier I produce.
If at any point in your dog’s life you are unable to keep them, I will always take my puppy back — no questions asked, no judgment.
This ensures none of my dogs ever enter shelters or unsafe situations. When you adopt from me, you are part of my extended family.
